Privacy Policy
Who we are
OP Studio is a personal project developed by Lorenz Wittjen as a private individual. Questions about this policy can be sent to service@blacktext.de.
Data we collect
None. OP Studio does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on remote servers. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, no cloud sync, and no analytics SDKs embedded in the app.
MIDI data
OP Studio communicates with the Teenage Engineering OP-1 Field over USB-C using Apple's CoreMIDI framework. MIDI messages — notes, timing clock, transport — flow directly between your iPhone and the connected hardware. They are never sent to us or to any third party, and are not retained after the session unless you explicitly save a pattern.
Local storage
User-created patterns, quantization settings, tempo preferences and similar configuration are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. This data never leaves the device and is removed when you uninstall the app.
Apple-provided diagnostics
If you have enabled Share With App Developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share aggregated and anonymized crash logs and performance metrics with us via App Analytics and TestFlight. This data is collected and processed by Apple, not by OP Studio, and is governed by Apple's own privacy controls. You can opt out at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Third parties
None. OP Studio contains no advertising, no tracking pixels, no third-party SDKs, and does not share data with any external service.
Children
OP Studio is a music production utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and the effective date above will be revised. Material changes will additionally be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
